Single Plants: 20cm (7") each way (minimum)

Notes

Broad beans can grow over 1.5 m tall and require staking in particularly windy areas. Grow in a group of them together, as they will support each other. If they become too heavy when bearing, support them with a single or double line. Dig in roots when finished cropping as these return nitrogen to the soil.

Harvesting

Harvest about three to four months after sowing, before the pods become tough. Often get a second crop.
