Rich soil with plenty of compost added.
Position
Sheltered sunny position or under cover.

Feeding
Weekly liquid feed once the plant is a reasonable size.
Spacing
Single Plants: 35cm (1' 1") each way (minimum)
Rows: 30cm (11") with 40cm (1' 3") row gap (minimum)
Sow and Plant
Sow in pots under cover in early spring. Transfer to bigger pots as required. If planting out then do so from mid spring when soil has warmed.

Harvesting
Harvest peppers green when they have grown to a good size or wait for them to ripen to yellow or red if preferred. Chilli peppers will get hotter when left and can be dried out in the sun before storing.
Troubleshooting
Hot weather increases hot compounds in chillis, so those grown in cool climates may lack heat.
